Terms of Use for Renters

Welcome to Venegow Car Rentals! These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Venegow Car Rentals website and services (the “Service”) as a renter. By using our Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Use of Service
1.1 Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to rent with Venegow. By using our Service, you confirm that you are of legal age to enter into a binding contract.
1.2 Account Registration
Certain features require you to create an account. You must provide accurate, up-to-date information during registration and keep it updated.
1.3 User Conduct
You agree not to:
Violate any laws or regulations.
Engage in fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful activities.
Harass, threaten, or abuse others.
Interfere with our platform, network, or services.
Use Venegow rental vehicles for unauthorized commercial purposes such as taxi, e-hailing, or logistics without prior approval.
2. Vehicle Rentals
2.1 Booking & Payments
Bookings are confirmed only after full payment of rental fees, caution fees, taxes, and any other specified charges. Payments are processed securely via Venegow.
2.2 Vehicle Inspection
Renters must inspect the vehicle at pickup and return. Take clear photos of the car’s exterior, interior, dashboard, safety equipment, tires, and accessories. Unreported damages will be charged to the renter.
2.3 Compliance with Laws
Renters must obey all traffic and road safety laws and ensure they hold valid driver’s licenses.
2.4 Logistics
Renters are responsible for costs related to delivery, pickup, tolls, and parking unless stated otherwise in the booking.
2.5 Rental Duration
Standard rentals run 7 a.m. – 7 a.m. (24 hours). Late returns or extensions attract additional hourly/daily charges.
3. Liability
3.1 Insurance Coverage
Renters who opt for insurance may be covered in case of accidents or damages, subject to deductibles or excess charges.
3.2 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Venegow and vehicle owners against claims, losses, or damages linked to your use of a rental car.
3.3 Damage Liability
Without insurance: renters are 100% liable for physical damages.
Mechanical failures linked to the powertrain: renters share 50% liability. Renters must promptly report dashboard warnings or unusual issues.
3.4 Fueling
Renters must use only high-quality fuel. Damages caused by bad fuel (engine, injectors, fuel pump) are the renter’s responsibility.
3.5 Refueling Policy
Vehicles must be returned with at least the same fuel level as at delivery. A refueling fee applies for shortages. Vehicles must never be returned with the reserve light on.
3.6 Late Return Fee
Hourly charges apply if the vehicle is not returned at the agreed time.
3.7 Cleaning Fee
A cleaning fee applies if the car is returned dirty or unkempt. Cleanliness affects renter ratings and future approvals.
4. Termination
4.1 By Venegow
Venegow may suspend or terminate your account or booking immediately if you breach these Terms or engage in illegal activity.
4.2 By Renter
You may cancel or close your account anytime by contacting Venegow.
4.3 Refund Policy
Refunds are subject to Venegow’s Refund & Cancellation Policy (available on our website).
5. Miscellaneous
5.1 Updates
We may modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on our website, and continued use of our Service means you accept them.
5.2 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
