Welcome to Venegow Car Rentals! These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Venegow Car Rentals website, booking system, and services (the “Service”) as a renter. By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Use of Service

1.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are of legal age to form a binding contract with Venegow Car Rentals.

1.2 Account Registration

You may need to create an account to access certain features of the Service. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and update such information when necessary.

1.3 User Conduct

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful or prohibited purpose. You also agree not to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations.

• Engage in fraudulent or deceptive activities.

• Harass, intimidate, or harm others.

• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks connected to the Service.

• Use the vehicle for unauthorized commercial purposes such as taxi, e-hailing, or delivery services.

2. Vehicle Rentals

2.1 Booking and Payments

By booking a vehicle through Venegow, you agree to pay the rental fee, caution fee, taxes, and any other applicable charges specified in your booking details to confirm your reservation. No payment, no reservation. All payments are processed securely through our platform.

2.2 Vehicle Inspection

You agree to inspect the vehicle before, during, and after the rental period and report any damages or issues to Venegow immediately. Failure to report damage may result in full renter liability. Renters are advised to take clear photos of:

• Exterior, interior, roof, undercarriage, seats, dashboard, instrument cluster, safety equipment, floor mats, and spare tire.

These records will be reviewed during return, and renters will be liable for damages or missing items.

2.3 Compliance with Laws

You agree to comply with all traffic laws, licensing requirements, insurance requirements, and any other applicable regulations while operating a Venegow rental vehicle.

2.4 Self-Drive Restriction

When renting on a self-drive basis, only the renter whose name is on the booking and contract is authorized to drive the vehicle. Allowing or giving a third party to drive the rental vehicle is strictly prohibited.

• Any damages, losses, or liabilities arising from unauthorized third-party use will be charged 100% to the renter, regardless of fault or circumstance.

2.5 Logistics

Delivery and pick-up logistics (including tolls, parking fees, and transport charges) are the renter’s responsibility unless otherwise stated in your booking.

2.6 Rental Duration

• Standard Rental: All rentals are charged on a daily basis (7 a.m. to 7 p.m. same day).

• If you require a 24-hour rental (e.g., 7 a.m. to 7 a.m. the following day), you must specifically request this at the time of booking.

• Late returns or extensions attract additional hourly or daily charges.

3. Liability

3.1 Insurance Coverage

If you opt-in for insurance, you may be covered in case of damage. However, a deductible or excess charge may apply in cases of severe damage, theft, or loss.

3.2 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Venegow Car Rentals, its partners, and vehicle owners from any claims, liabilities, damages, or losses arising from your use of a rented vehicle.

3.3 Physical and Mechanical Damage

• Renters without insurance are 100% responsible for physical damages to the vehicle.

• Renters will bear 50% of powertrain-related mechanical repair costs (engine, transmission, drivetrain). Renters must monitor the instrument cluster and report any warning lights or unusual activity immediately.

3.4 Fueling

Renters must purchase quality fuel from trusted stations. Any mechanical damage caused by contaminated fuel will be the renter’s full responsibility.

3.5 Refueling Fee

Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as at pick-up. A refueling fee applies for shortages. Renters may also prepay for fuel at booking. Vehicles must never be returned with the reserve fuel light on.

3.6 Late Return Fee

Hourly late fees apply if the vehicle is not returned by the agreed rental expiration time.

3.7 Cleaning Fee

If the vehicle is returned dirty, stained, or unkempt, a cleaning fee will be charged. Renters are encouraged to maintain vehicle cleanliness, as it impacts future rental eligibility and ratings.

4. Termination

4.1 Termination by Venegow

Venegow reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account or rental immediately without notice if you breach these Terms or engage in fraudulent, illegal, or harmful activities.

4.2 Termination by Renter

You may terminate your account or cancel bookings by contacting Venegow customer service or using the account settings option.

4.3 Refund Policy

Refunds are subject to Venegow’s refund and cancellation policy. (See Refund Policy page for details).

5. Miscellaneous

5.1 Changes to Terms

Venegow may revise these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on our website, and continued use of the Service constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

5.2 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict of law principles.
